Adoption Information
Overview
Impounded animals are held for three days to allow the owner to reclaim their pet. If an adoptable animal is not reclaimed during that time, it is then put up for adoption to the public. If an owner surrenders a pet to Animal Control it is made available for adoption that day. The shelter does not adopt out aggressive, sick, injured, or nuisance animals. The pets need forever-homes, so please take the time to make sure the pet is right for you and your family. All adoptions are final.
Please contact Animal Control at (918) 341-1260 for more information.
Costs
If you decide that adoption is the right choice for you, an Animal Control officer will be happy to help you pick out your new family member. The cost of a feline adoption is $50, and the cost of a canine adoption is $70. This fee includes the spay / neuter of the animal (depending on gender), one booster shot, one de-worming, and one rabies vaccination.
