Pet owners in Claremore City Limits are required by ordinance to have their pet licensed. The licenses are available for purchase at the City Clerk’s Office at 104 S. Muskogee. The pet owner must provide proof of vaccination and pay one of the following one-time licensing fees:

City ordinance allows for five pets per household. Vendors and breeders may apply for a Commercial Animal Establishment permit. The application must be notarized and accompanied by cash, money order, or cashier’s check in the amount of $20 for the permit. An application processing fee of $20 shall be assessed for the initial application.

A background check will be conducted to determine if the applicant has been convicted of animal abuse or cruelty charges in the past ten years. Hobbyist Exemption Permits are available for pet owners who have more than five specialized animals (such as hunting dogs) for $25 and a $10 subsequent renewal fee.
