Walking / Jogging Trail
Available Trails
The City of Claremore Parks and Recreation Master Plan identifies a multi-use trail system which provides pedestrian and bicycle-friendly connectivity throughout the community as a high priority. The City of Claremore parks system currently includes two separate sections of multi-use trail as well as many trail linkage areas made up of sidewalks and/or designated bicycle routes.
One of the City’s multi-use trails is a one-mile asphalt section located near the Claremore Recreation and Expo Centers, and the other section is a one-mile concrete section located at Claremore Lake Park. An inclusive trail system is an important part of a healthy community.
Future Plans
Projects are currently underway to construct another section of multi-use trail and sidewalks running down Seminole Street, up through the soccer complex and connecting to the Claremore Lake section of trail. This section of trail will provide connectivity between Claremore Lake, the Soccer Complex, Powers Park Youth Baseball Complex, Community Center, Claremore Schools, and Legion Park. Design is also underway for a four-mile, off-road bicycling and running trail to be located at Claremore’s Happy Lake Park.
