COVID-19 INFORMATION

The Will Rogers Library is constantly monitoring the progression of the Coronavirus COVID-19. This page will continue to be updated as information about COVID-19 is rapidly changing.  For the most up-to-date information, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to do our part to ‘flatten the curve’ of the Coronavirus COVID-19 Spread by minimizing the public’s exposure, the Will Rogers Library will be closed from March 17th – April 15th.

Per Week, the Library normally serves over 1000 visitors, lends more than 2300 items and has over 300 computer sessions. This volume means we simply can not remain open and do our part to help slow the progression of the virus.

While the building is closed, we will still be on site to assist our patrons via social media and telephone from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 9:30 am - 5 pm Friday. Staff will be available to walk patrons through use of our many digital resources. These digital resources give patrons access to nearly 100,000 titles for your reading, listening and viewing pleasure.

We will be working on other online options such as Facebook Live storytimes, etc. to help reach out to parents and little ones who may be also be staying home during this time. Watch our Facebook page for more information.

IF YOU HAVE MATERIALS CURRENTLY CHECKED OUT

  • You may still return items in the bookdrop.
  • Renew items online through your account, or by calling the Library between 9:30 am and 5 pm Monday - Friday.
  • We will be granting additional renewals throughout this period, and overdue fines will not be charged while we are closed. (Please note pre-existing fines will remain.)

Please keep up with our Facebook page and this page for continuing offerings and updates.

This are interesting times to be sure. While precautions are being taken, please do not panic. Take recommended precautions from *credible organizations* such as the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov, or other links available here. Take reasonable precautions, and take care of yourselves and each other.

We look forward to seeing you all when this has calmed down a bit!
