City of Claremore FY 2022 Budget
We are pleased to announce the Claremore City Council voted on June 7, 2021 to unanimously approve the fiscal year 2022 City of Claremore budget (effective July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022). The budget includes $4 million for infrastructure projects and responsible spending that addresses the City’s core needs. You can find the full report here. Highlights include:
- Implementation of a street rehabilitation program that invests more than $1 million annually for residential, arterial, collector and main thoroughfares. These projects will focus on extending the life of roads that can be repaired, while we develop and fund larger road rebuild projects.
- The Frederick Road Project will begin along with the more than $200 million in investments by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority to improve Highway 20 projects. This includes an overpass for the BNSF rail line and Highway 66, north of King/Flint Road.
- There will be considerable investments in the sanitary sewer collection system, including sewer lines and lift stations. Large-scale water and stormwater projects will begin, including the Lowery Road detention facility, Talbert/Sioux Water Line replacement and the citywide water system evaluation will be completed so the City can effectively address the aging infrastructure and water quality throughout our community’s distribution system.
- The City has also made a strong commitment to our employees to remain competitive with salaries, retirement and health insurance.
