The Patrol Division, commanded by Captain Cary Akin, is made up of 30 police officers on three shifts. Each shift has assigned shift supervision. The Patrol division is responsible for patrolling the city for crime prevention, responding to emergency calls for service, working traffic enforcement, accident investigation, and includes specialty units such as; bicycle patrol, and school resource officer.

The Claremore Police Department Investigations Division is commanded by Sergeant John Singer. The Investigations Division is responsible for follow-up investigation on all major crimes including homicide, manslaughter, rape, robbery, burglary, crimes against children, and various other felony criminal investigations.
The Investigations Division is also responsible for background investigations of applicants for Police Department positions and internal investigations as assigned by the Chief. The division works closely with other law enforcement agencies in coordinating investigations that cross jurisdictional boundaries.

The Records Division is responsible for maintaining all files and records for the Claremore Police Department. The division maintains all criminal investigation reports, incident reports, accident reports, and master files on all individuals arrested for a criminal charge.
The Records division also files and maintains all traffic citations and arrest warrants issued by the City of Claremore. This division collects required statistics for State and Federal reporting that is required, as well as for a monthly and annual report to the Chief of Police.
The Records Division maintains photograph files of individuals arrested and maintains the sex offender registry that is required by law.

The Evidence Officer for the Claremore Police Department is responsible for managing all evidence seized by the Claremore Police Department. The Evidence Officer must ensure that all evidence is handled properly, is packaged, sealed, and stored as prescribed by State law and policy. He is responsible for maintaining all lost or found property turned into the Police Department.
